Avatar is a 2009 American epic science fiction film directed, written, co-edited by James Cameron. It has a star-studded cast including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sigourney Weaver.

The movie was a groundbreaking invention of technology, which introduced the world to 3D cinema. Colonel Miles Quaritch orders a full-scale military invasion of the Na’vi, putting Jake in a difficult position as he has to decide which side he wants to fight for in a battle that would determine the future existence of Pandora.

Avatar broke several box office records and grossed over $2.8 Billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film in history until Avengers: Endgame surpassed it in 2019. It has won many awards, including the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, Best Art Direction, and Best Cinematography.
