Plot
The plot of Logan takes place in the year 2029, where most mutants have been eradicated or gone into hiding due to genetic tampering. Wolverine, who is now going by his birth name, James Howlett, works as a limo driver in El Paso, Texas, and takes care of an ailing Charles Xavier, who is suffering from a degenerative brain disease that causes him to have seizures that affect the environment around him.
One day, Logan is approached by a woman named Gabriela who begs him to take her and a young girl named Laura to a safe haven in North Dakota called Eden. Laura is a young mutant with similar powers to Wolverine, and she is being hunted by a group of mercenaries called the Reavers, who work for a company called Alkali-Transigen that created a new breed of mutant soldiers from stolen DNA samples.
Themes
